Jessica, It breaks my heart to hear of all the devastation in Haiti, especially with the cholera outbreak. I am praying for you, that you will have the emotional and physical stamina to minister to the people around you. And that you will be assured that you are doing what He calls and equips you to do. Jessica, I am deeply troubled by the situation in Haiti. What is it that things just seem to go from bad to worse for them. Jessica you can't give up though. You are making a tremendous difference for people, one life at a time. Remember Nathan's story about the boy and the starfish on the beach. I hurts to experience all the loss you do and while you can't become indifferent to it, you can't focus on it. Focus on the victorys no matter how large or small they seem. And don't let go of God's hand. He knows and sees and feels the pain even more keenly than you can. These are His kids and I'm sure he weeps along with you. Jessica you are a trooper and I addmire you for your commitment to caring for people. May God bless your efforts in the few short weeks you have left. You have a band of christian prayer warriors holding you up to our Father. I hope we can meet again sometime. Christian love,
I'm a southern girl who is a trauma critical care, turned Haitian orthopedic, turned hospice nurse who just finished NP school. I love singing and talking to interesting people. Haiti cured my Diet Coke addiction and caused me to finally confess that I am, in fact, a cat person.
